As You Like It Challenge (DT) African or Australian Animal

Time for another challenge from the

and this time the theme is
Your Favourite African or Australian Animal

I had to think long and hard about this because I have a lot of favourite animals, so I had to narrow it down by working out which was the one I was most likely ever to get a cuddle from.
Koala!
Except there is a rumour they'll wee on you.  I'll chance it.

So I have used
Gerda Steiner Designs - You're Koalafied
Simon Says Stamp hugs die
Sunny Studio 6x6 neutral papers
Lawn Fawm 6x6 papers Flower Market
Distress Inks (ReInkers)

Flowers In Bloom (DT) Dies To Die For

You find me feeling a little sad, this morning, sniff.  It's the end of my week off work and I can feel the "routine" about to kick in again ready for Monday.  BUT, we have had a good week, we have been out and about but still found some relaxing time too.  For my birthday Himself took me to see Toy Story 4 (which was brilliant!), and we went on the St Elizabeth Hospice Elmer On Parade trail around town.  There are a LOT of elephants, 55 big ones and 84 smaller ones (in herds), and we came nowhere near finding them all so we cheated a bit and bought the lovely souvenir book from the Hospice shop so we could at least admire all the amazing artwork on the Elmers.

Anyhoo, out and about on our travels this week, Himself and I have spotted lots
of beautiful wild flowers in the hedges and verges.

Lovely things used for this are:

Flowers painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
and the off the edge-ness was my freehand fussy cutting with a craft knife.

Have yourselves a wonderful week, and, if it gets as hot as is predicted, keep the fluid intake up!

Playful Peacocks (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello folks,I'm late getting here again today - normally I do my Saturday post on Friday night, but when Toad went up for a bath, instead of getting the laptop out I might have closed my eyes for a moment or two.  Well, ok, two hours!

Anyhoo, I have got something a bit special for you today
because it is also part of the Offer of The Week on the website
(so you are saving money as well as getting something fabulous!)

As part of the Offer of The Week choice, you can get
(so that is stamps and dies all in one go, for a reduced price)

and the other ingredients used for this are

OK, time to strut your stuff and shake a tail feather or two!

Brianna The Butterfly (DT) Dies To Die For

Morning all, so sorry that this is a later post than usual - I fell asleep in the armchair last night and didn't have the energy to do it before bed, and this morning I had a haircut at silly o'clock.  Still, better late than never!

I have a bit of a tropical colourfest for you today

So, for this colourful little lady I have used

Brianna is mostly painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) but I have used a few
Polychromos Pencils on her wings just to get a deeper tone to the shading

Hope your weekend is just as vibrant - happy UK Bank Holiday!

James says Hello

Afternoon everyone.  Hope you are enjoying your weekend - it's "scorchio" here in the east, bright blue skies, sunny, and heading towards 30C.  You probably know that I am limp lettuce when it comes to hot weather, so it will come as no surprise that I have been taking refuge indoors and watching the qualifying for tomorrow's F1 Belgian Grand Prix!

The craft space is started to get back to normal after all the upheaval of the plumbing so I hope to be able to get inky again very soon, but in the meantime here is something I made a couple of weeks ago.

This is James Butterflies from LOTV
Painted, as usual, with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
The Hello die is by Penny Black - I had to cut the twirly tail off the O for it to fit the card - I cut it three times to make a word stack
Design papers are First Edition: Boho Chic

We were going to go and see the Oldies this afternoon, but mum was otherwise engaged so Toad is cutting the grass and I am going to experiment with my newly delivered Ground Espresso Distress Ink.  Rosie has her nose in the biscuit dish, some things don't change.

Hugs to all
Squirrel xx
