Dies To Die For (DT) Bright Holidays

Hello peeps, sorry I was MIA for my DTDF post last week, life just got the better of me I'm afraid.

Anyhoo, the preparations panic continues for Christmas

Stuff used
The frame used is from MFT - the square one is not longer available at DTDF but
and there are other brands of scallop edged frames on the website too

Bright Holidays was painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) with a little Stabilo Fineliner scribble for tree texture

The Walrus, The Polar Bear, And The Penguin (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello peeps, sorry I was MIA for my DTDF post last week, I was laid low by a rather unpleasant bug, which knocked me off my feet for four days.  Still not 100% but am getting there.

Anyhoo, today's offering reminds me of a joke

A penguin walks into a pub.  He goes to the bar and says to the landlord
"Have you seen my brother?"
The landlord looks at him, scratches his head, thinks for a minute, and asks
"I'm not sure, what does he look like?"

Sooooooooo, on to today's make then

And the lovely things used are

The image is painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and fussy cut - I don't know if there even was a die  issued for this stamp but, if there was, I don't have it, so back to the trusty scissors and the craft knife for the nooks and crannies.

I was a bit frugal with the papers as there are only 2 sheets of each design in the pad, and they are all so lovely, so I was a miser and only used one - I did the technique of cutting from the centre of the sheet so I had my mini matting layer and a hollowed out bottom layer - I "patched" the hole (slight overlap) with the white card.  I'm not sure which stitched dies I used for the white, but I think it might have been my Crealies set.

Hmmmm, I've not had a Penguin in ages, but I know where there is a stash of dark mint Kit-Kat

Gasp, pant pant, sorry I am late today chaps, I had some family errands to run

So, what do I have for you today - well, let me tell you a story.....

Tiny Christmas (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello peeps, I am back, did you even notice I was missing?  I suspect not!  Sorry about last week's absence, but I have been laid low with a nasty chest infection.

Isn't this the cutest little Santa?!

Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

Short but sweet.

You Color My World (DT) Dies To Die For

HOLLLLLLIDAAAAAAAAAAY!  Yes, today chaps, you find me at the start of a week's holiday, whoop whoop!  It has been a long time coming, that is for sure.

Now, I know there is a u missing from the title, but if you put Colour into the search box, you won't find this gorgeous little lady!  I never did really understand why, if the British sent so many settlers to the US, their spelling is so quirky!

and that's it, simple is as simple does, apart from a splash of Distress Inks (ReInkers)

Drink Up The Sunshine (DT) Dies To Die For

Well that's an ironic post title for this week!  Hello, a very tired and sweaty little Squirrel here with you today.  I can't remember the last night of decent sleep, us Brits are simply not designed for heat.

Here in the east, we have topped 30C most days and we reached 34C on Thursday.  We had the most ENORMOUS storms Thursday night, poor Rosie absolutely hates thunder and at the first rumble she dashed off to hide in her safe place.  She did eventually come out for some supper just before bedtime.

I think most of us would like to be this little lady (minus her friend) just for a chance to cool off a bit.

Makes me want to find a paddling pool.....

Missy and The Shark both painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Waves stencilled onto the Watercolor Wash paper with Distress Oxides.
Paper Poetry white gel pen for the wave tops.

That's me done for today, off to find some ice!

Hugs
