As You Like It Challenge (DT) Favourite Non-Birthday Occasion

So, when January clicked around this year, I was determined to be a better blogger than last year.  Well that worked well didn't it?!  Unfortunately, due to the change in family circumstances, I have far less crafting time than previously, so I'm not getting as much made as I would like

However, I have so far managed to squeak in a make for the
and this time around our theme for the fortnight is
Your Favourite Non-Birthday Occasion

I like making get well cards for poorly friends, to give them a little lift of spirits or a
smile when they are feeling low.  I made this one for an elderly friend when she had a bout
of shingles, apparently it hurt when she laughed, which wasn't part of the plan!

So, I have used
Layered with a piece of MFT 6x6 spotty paper
and painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

And the sponsor of this one is

Dies To Die For (DT) Gnomes With A Secret

Morning all.  Well, another dad episode I'm afraid, he had another fall this week and we were woken by a phone call from the neighbour at 5.00am Thursday morning.  Dashed over there to find him on the floor but seemingly unhurt, the neighbour didn't want to move him (and would have struggled on his own) so between the three of us we got him up and into a chair.  There is some mystery as to how this happened but he'd been off-colour for a couple of days with a chill, so it's possible he woke up disorientated and wobbly, and down he went, bless him.  My gift to him this week has been a Zimmer frame.  I can hear the protests now but I'm not taking any nonsense from him!

Oh, and mum is missing the ear pieces for her hearing aids.  She thinks mice might have made off with them.  Sigh.

Anyhoo, on to this weeks make for Dies To Die For

Great fun inking this one up with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

Dies To Die For (DT) Bundle Girl With Winter Branch

Hello peeps, and a happy weekend to you!

Dad continues to improve, he had another hospital visit yesterday, and they are pleased with how things are looking.  He has two more visits scheduled but (keep your fingers crossed) if they go well and the wound is healing as it should, we are hoping he will be discharged into the care of the GP surgery.  That will make life soooooooooo much easier for him.

Anyhoo, I've not made many Christmas cards yet this year, normally I would have started in June, so panic mode is setting in a little bit.  There may have to be a flurry of snowflakes soon.

Lovely things used

Bundle Girl painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
I had to get my stamping platform out for the background stamp as it is a biggie, and I cannot get an even coverage just with an acrylic block.  Himself reckons it is because I am too short to get enough pressure on it!!!

That's me done for today - I need to be doing battle with a gammon joint and a selection of winter vegetables.

Early Birds (DT) Dies To Die For

Going by the time and volume of the dawn chorus recently, there are a lot of early birds out there.
Most of them seem to be shouting their beaks off right under my bedroom window - there was one little chap this week who started before 4.00am (I know, I checked the time) and continued to CHEEEP for three solid hours.  Then, to add insult to injury, he popped up again during the day while I was working, sat in a shrub, mocking me while I tried to concentrate.  I have his card marked.

I wonder how many of these early birds may be having their breakfast?

Items used:

Painted with a mixture of Distress Inks (ReInkers) and Zig pens.

No worms were harmed in the making of this card,

Hugs

(Psst.  The new Stamping Bellas are up for pre-order - check out those Gnomies!)

Saddle Up & Celebrate (DT) Dies To Die For

Morning all, I'm here today, in the saddle as you might say!

A little something for the boys for a change.

Yummy things used:

I used an old MFT Die-Namics die set called Grassy Edges which has long retired but
you can still get the MFT Tall Grassy Edge die

Images watercoloured with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens - I admit it, I am in love with these pens, they make an ideal companion for colouring on the move (or even stationary, like I am mostly) as all you need is a waterbrush.

Yee haw!

MFT Superstar 2019 - Clean And Simple Genius

Hello chaps, yes, no need to check your calendar, it really is Sunday and I am posting.

Friday saw the launch of the 2019 MFT Superstar Contest - there are three catergories, as before, Colouring Virtuoso, Clean And Simple Genius, and Innovation Master.

In past years I have entered two of the three categories, but this year I am being kind to myself and only entering one.  This is my entry for the Clean And Simple Genius category.

All the products used are MFT of course, and were purchased in the UK from Dies To Die For
(which is where the links will take you)

Cuddly bear painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) as watercolours.

OK, so I am off to link this up to the contest before my nerve cracks.

Hugs to all

Call The Shots (DT) Dies To Die For

Happy Saturday to you all!

I'll be honest, I have been a bit overwhelmed with the CUTENESS of the most recent Birdie Brown stamps from MFT and I had to buy them all, but I am only just playing with last month's release (even though this month's has now arrived!)

Yes, I know she is supposed to be a doctor/nurse, but I thought she made a lovely vet too!

All the image bits painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

Have yourselves a happy week.

Sprouted Baby (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello peeps, happy weekend!  Tell me, why are the four days following a bank holiday always longer than a normal five day week?  Pooped after this one!

Anyhoo, as it's been a hectic week, today's post is a simpler card than usual

So cute, and so useful for girl or boy baby!

Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and the
silver iridescent card is from Hobbycraft

Fairy Good Friends (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello chaps, bright eyed and bushy tailed here this morning, well, not really here, but virtually.
I'm off for my regular tail trimming, and then later Rosie has her V.E.T. appointment for her
annual vaccines, and a lovely relaxing (ha!) pedicure.

What do I have for you today?  It's a wee cutie!

Have a great day

**  I had used the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot paper, but this has been retired from the website, so you could equally well use the background stamp (which I have included the link for)

In this funny ol' world that we live in, I don't think we say thank you enough, so
why not change that and say thank you to someone today.

Ingredients used

Versafine Toffee and Vintage Sepia for the background stamp and
Distress Inks (ReInkers) for Violet.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Holiday Cheer (DT) Dies To Die For

Morning all, popping in today with something (almost) seasonal for you
(well, the temperatures are dropping!)

So deep breath and off we go

D'ja know, I am starting to worry myself with all these lists of stuff - before you know there will be ribbon sneaking in there!

Anyhoo, the image is painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers).  Confession time, my first attempt was a resurrection of the Copics and.....well, I got the DIs out again!

Hugs
