Non Card Project (DT) As You Like It Challenge

Hello peeps, here we are at another Thursday already, gosh these weeks are whizzing by!

There is a new challenge starting today over at AS YOU LIKE IT and this time we would like you to share a favourite non card project with us (please explain your choice).

Now, I am not very organised when it comes to present wrapping, but I do have a fondness for cute little boxes, so when I get the opportunity and get my btm into gear then I do like to make a box.  I'm really into the kraft and white combination at the moment and I think it works really well for a little festive gift.

I made this using my WRMK Box Board for the basic box, cut the layers using Bristol Board and the same smooth kraft card that the box is made from, die cut a selection of gorgeous Mama Elephant snowflakes, and the sentiment from Impression Obsession.  The top circle panel for the box seal was cut with a plain Tonic layering circle and a MFT Die-Namics Double Stitched Circle Stax die.

For this challenge our lovely sponsor is

Non-Card Project (DT) As You Like It Challenge

Guess what!  It's Thursday!

Of course you know what alternate Thursdays mean, and that is a new challenge from

This time, we are pushing the boundaries and asking for a non-card project.  Have a look at the DT makes for inspiration if you are stuck.

Unfortunately the first ever granny square crochet blanket isn't finished yet (so near yet so far) so here is something else!  I love making gift wrappings, either boxes or bags, that can contain a few luxury chocs.  Here is a little bag I made.
("Uff Da" is an expression of surprise)

So, I have used
Fussy cut and painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Martha Stewart grass border punch

and the chocolates are ALL mine!!

There's a wee anniversary blog hop happening so you'll need to visit each of the team, leave a comment, and then a final comment on the AYLI challenge - there's a surprise gift for the right person!

Right then, as well as the hop, the sponsor for this challenge with the prize of
an A5 stamp set is
Lili of the Valley

Hope to see you there

AYLI (DT) Box or Bag (non card project)

Hello chaps.  I'm having a bit of a panic right about now as I have just realised what the date is and how flippin' far behind I am with the preparations for you-know-what.  I'm beginning to reach the stage of "what the heck"

However, for those of you far more organised than I am, there is the start of another new challenge with the
AS YOU LIKE IT blog, and this time the theme is BOX or BAG (this is a non-card project)

I love making boxes, there are endless variations on size, and it is so much fun
to make one tailor made for the gift it contains.  I think I have just about cracked
the square/rectangle, so maybe now it is time to be more adventurous!

So for this cutie, I used my Martha Stewart score board to make the
box, and of course I still forgot which piece was top and which was bottom!
A variety of Dovecraft Back to Basics Christmas papers
Nestabilities snowflakes
and Nestabilities circle and scalloped circle dies
Image painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

Hugs to all
