Sweet Tea

Morning all.  Nearly the end of the week, hurrah!  Hasn't the weather picked up nicely?  Can we be lucky enough for it to last more than 48 hours I wonder......

Anyhoo, popping by with something a little different in style for me today:

So this Gorjuss Girl stamp is Sweet Tea
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and then fussy cut
Papers are Craftwork Cards, I think the pad is called Tea Party
The Roman Clock stencil is from Imagination Crafts and is inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and cut out by hand
Base card is pearlised kraft card

I am really pleased with how this one turned out, all the elements just came together nicely, almost as if I had planned it, and we know how rarely that happens!

Have a happy day
Hugs to all

Totally Gorjuss # 27 - Simply Gorjuss

It's Sat-ur-day!  Phew, thought it would never get here this week!  And that means it is time for another wonderful week with TOTALLY GORJUSS - thank you all for your charming cards last week, they were really fabulous.  You certainly know how to push RNG to the limits so don't forget to check back to see who has been selected as the winner of the charming challenge.

So to this week, which for us Gorjussettes is a very special week indeed as we have an amazing sponsor on board.  It is (drum roll please) none other than the original Gorjuss Girl herself, Suzanne Woolcott, designer of these little cuties.  So glad to have you with us Suzanne.

So the challange is - Simply Gorjuss.  If you have a Gorjuss Girls stamp we'd love you to use it to show Suzanne how fantastic her designs are.

The DT are all a bit nervous this week but have really pushed the boat out and come up with totally amazing creations, please do check out their individual blogs.  My card for this week uses two Gorjuss Girls ....

I have used the masking technique to get these two to play nicely together.  Coloured with Copics/ProMarkers.  Papers are from the Forever Friends Pink Parfait collection (thanks Zippy hun) and the pansy border punch is from Martha Stewart. Sentiment is Craftwork Cards with the peel-offs and tiny gems from my stash.

Come on girls, let's see you getting Gorjuss with us this week at TOTALLY GORJUSS

Totally Gorjuss Challenge # 25 - Texture

Happy Saturday everyone!  And Saturday means it is time for another challenge from TOTALLY GORJUSS - but first a big thanks to everyone who joined us last week, you all did an amazing job with Net's fabbie sketch.

This week's theme is TEXTURE so we'd like to see lots of touchy feely stuff please!  Once again the DT have come up with some stunning examples so please do pop over to their blogs for a peek.

Here is my offering
As you can tell, I went a bit OTT with the Cuttlebug embossing folders this week!  Image is a Gorjuss Girl from Sugar Nellie, coloured with Copics/ProMarkers and I've paper pieced her dress.  Ribbon from Fantastic Ribbons, Flower put together from my goody bag received from Marcea ages so (so much in it that I'm still discovering things!), gems and sentiment from stash.  Brad is a Basic Grey one.

So what's stopping you? Get texturing!

Totally Gorjuss Challenge - Tag!

Great idea this week over at Totally Gorjuss as the the challenge is for a tag - don't know about you, but gift tags are nearly as difficult to choose for a person as the card and present!

Anyhoo, this creation is to be stuck on mum and dad's big present - I can almost hear dad saying "are you sure that's ours?" so it seemed appropriate.

I've used Little Miss Attitude, coloured with Copics and ProMarkers, red card from stash and gold textured mirri card from Create & Craft, handwritten sentiment (and I smudged the exclamation mark, grrr).  Organza ribbon from The Range.

Totally Gorjuss + Papertake Weekly

Well, what a bleak afternoon it has been, and sooooo dark! I'm still not feeling 100% so combine that with the weather today and the end of the Grand Prix season, and you've got one sad little tufty.

So, to cheer myself up, I went mad with colour!

This week's challenge at Papertake Weekly is Spots & Stripes and over at Totally Gorjuss it's Seeing Double

This is quite a deceptive photo as the colours are brighter but it got dark outside before I noticed so I'd lost the light for a decent photo. Will try and replace it next time the sun shines.

I've used Gorjuss Girls "Just A Girl" and "Sent With Love", using the amazing Eclipse masking tape (how many times does that stuff stick?!), spots and stripes card stock is from a DCWV stack but for the life of me I'm not sure which one as the cover has vanished. The spots are embossed and the stripes are glittered, really pretty, honest. Flowers punched with Woodware daisy punch from sheet of card from stash and flower centres are Candy Dots. GGs coloured with ProMarkers and the Friends sentiment is Magnolia stamped with Brilliance Pearlescent Coral.

Daylight Photo

Thanks for popping over to see me!

Totally Gorjuss Challenge - Make A Shape!

Morning all, hope you are having a fabbie Sunday - sun is shining here and it's a stunning late autumn day.

This week's Totally Gorjuss Challenge is Make a Shape, that's any shape that's not square or rectangular.

For this little card I've used Gorjuss Girls Little Goth Girl (isn't she just the sweetest). I cut the card with Octagonal Nestabilities and used Nesties for the layers too. Gorjuss coloured with ProMarkers. Papers are Papermania and gems and pearls from stash.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Creative Inspirations No 29

Morning All! How are we on this rather grotty Wednesday? Halfway through the week at least.

Anyway, as fortune would have it, I made a card last night that would seem to fit nicely with Creative Inspirations Challenge No 29 - sorry for the poor photo but I took it on my phone.

The challenge is to use letters and/or numbers.

I used Gorjuss Girls Little Miss Attitude, coloured with ProMarkers, and papers from a pad of Making Memories. I used a Martha Stewart border punch on the pink card and the flowers are done with a Woodware daisy punch. Ovals cut with Nestabilities and the text message is handwritten (which is probably why it's not very legible!).

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Teen Birthday

I have a mental block when it comes to teenagers cards, especially girls, so when my mate Samantha asked for one to be made for Abbi, a friend's daughter, who was 15 yesterday, my heart kinda sank a little bit - but, never being one to turn down a challenge, I had a go anyway.

I had no ideas as to what colours to use but knew that I just had to use a Gorjuss Girl and this particular one "Sitting" was crying out to be stamped. The rest of the card just sort of fell into place. I coloured her with a mix of Promarkers and Ciao Copics.

Ingredients:
Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girls "Sitting" stamp
7Gypsies 5th Avenue Journey Collection papers
The H and B of Happy Birthday are from a clear set of Hero Arts letters and the appy irthday are from an unbranded set I bought from Create & Craft
Woodward flower punch
Purple glitter paper and gems from stash

Thanks for popping by.

Sugar Bowl Challenge 18

Loving the sketch from Sugar Bowl Challenge No 18 this week so thought I'd have a go and combine it with my frantic effort to get some Christmas Cards done. Don't know if the image really works but she's dead cute anyway and too irrestiable not to use.

Ingredients:
Sugar Nellie Gorjuss Girls "Little Goth Girl"
Papermania Ribbon Collection - Spots & Flowers Citrus
Anita's Classic Christmas Blue (papers)
Hero Arts Buttons For Cards
Holographic card, peel-offs, silver thread and text from stash

I had fun making this, hope you think it was worth it!
