As You Like It Challenge (DT) Stamp or Digi

Hello everyone (well ok, hello Annette and Faith 😏), welcome to another alternate Thursday and a new themed challenge from the AS YOU LIKE IT team.

This time our theme is Stamp or Digi (please explain your choice).

For me, it is always stamps.  Don't get me wrong, I have tried digis, and yes, I appreciate the convenience of storage, but for me (and this is very much my personal preference) they take away something of the creativity.  It might be something to do with working with computers in my day job and the urge to get away from the screen, but I thoroughly enjoy the rummaging through boxes, the choosing, the inking, the cleaning, the putting it away in a different box...... and I like to be able to play with the positioning of the stamped images as I am creating rather than walking away from the computer with it set in stone ink.  Call me old fashioned if you like, but it is definitely stamps for me.

So, for this little cutie, I ripped a hole in a sheet of paper to create the "splotch" and then gently inked it in Distress Ink Vintage Photo using one of my Picket Fence Blending Brushes directly onto the card base.
On watercolour paper, I stamped the elephant with his pen, and the separate pencil pot, coloured them up with Zig pens, fussy cut them, and fiddled with the position until I was happy enough to then stamp the "ink splat" and the sentiment in Memento ink.
Once that was done, I committed to gluing the two image pieces.

The elephant, pencil pot, ink splat and sentiment are all from the

Sweet Birthday Wishes (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello chaps!  I may have overslept a "tiny" bit this morning, it has been a full-on work week and I was verrrrrry tired.  Could possibly have managed another couple of hours, but, you know, things to do, places to be and all that.

Anyhoo, you all know my fondness for Birdie Brown designs so I was
overjoyed when I managed to get my paws on this set - it's a reissue of an older set, with updated sentiments, and I was so excited when I found out about it.  I think it will be getting a LOT of use.

Lawn Fawn 6x6 Perfectly Plaid - Spring (can't find on website now)

Little girl is painted in Distress Inks (ReInkers) as watercolours and I blended the
background in Distress Inks from the pads using the Picket Fence brushes.

Have a lovely weekend all

Friends With Fins

Hello peeps, yes, it really is me on a Sunday!  So, I found myself up-to-date with what I needed to have done (unheard of) which meant that I actually had an afternoon to play because I wanted to, whoop whoop.

I realised the other day that I seem to have been collecting sealife themed stamped sets, but hadn't actually used them very much yet, so I decided to put that right.

Although this is not a Dies To Die For promotional post, most of the ingredients are available in the online store, which is where the links will take you.

All colouring done with Distress Inks (ReInkers) as watercolours or Distress Oxides blended with Picket Fence Studios Blending Brushes
The ombre glitter card is my most recent purchase from Hobbycraft and it is sooooo pretty!
Paper Poetry white gel pen

And just because I can, I am actually entering a challenge.
