To Santa or Not To Santa (DT) As You Like It

So, we are almost halfway through September, and already the C word is on the cards ..... well, hopefully it will be on your cards anyway!

AS YOU LIKE IT challenge have a new theme for you and it is
To Santa or Not To Santa (on a Christmas card)

I do like a lot of the happy, chubby, smiley Satan Santa stamps, I have a favourite set that comes out year after year, but there are so many other adorable stamps available that it is hard to choose, but if there is a cute and furry critter involved then I am sold!

I've been waiting to use this stamp since it arrived in my Christmas stocking last year!
Poppystamps Jumbled Merry Christmas die
Hobbycraft snowflake stamps
Christmas patterned kraft card from The Works
Red card from Rymans
Kraft base card from Hobbycraft

Miles has been painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

The winner of this challenge will be invited to be a Guest Designer with us during October!

Bird or Beast (DT) As You Like It Challenge

Hello chaps, I hope your week is going well.  As it is a Thursday, it means a new theme over at

This time we would like you to choose your favourite (and tell us why)
BIRD or BEAST

Don't get me wrong, I like birds - out in the garden.  The song of a blackbird absolutely fills my heart with joy, and I love the antics of sparrows and starlings, and of course a cheeky robin.  With no offence to pigeons, they are a blinkin' nuisance though!  However, as much delight as our feathered friends bring, I'm afraid that the furry critters will always win in my affections.

How cute is that smile?!!

although I used the rubber version (retired now, boo hiss)
Lawn Fawn 6x6 Knit Picky - Fall
Crealies XXL No 70 Open Scallop Square
Poppystamps Bubble Daisy Border
MFT Stencil - Mini Cloud Edges
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

For this furry and feathery challenge, our sponsor is
CRAFTS U LOVE

One Of The Lads

I haven't attempted a post since Blogger went all weird and modern on us - don't they know how big a shock it is to do things like that without warning!

Anyhoo, a boy's card for you today.  My friend Pig's "little" lad turned 14 a couple of weeks ago.  I can't believe it, it only seems two minutes ago that he was chewing on my fingers, and now he's heading towards 6ft tall!

When CC Designs released this stamp set I had to buy it for this one image alone as it looks so much like Sam!

CC Designs Four Seasons stamp set - Boys
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) with a smidge of Polychromos in his hair
Cloudy sky paper was a magazine freebie from Making Cards
Stitched landscape die from Poppystamps
Grass border punch from Martha Stewart
and the stitched fence die......erm, I can't remember
Sentiment from Clearly Besotted

Hope your Saturday is a good one.  Toad has gone out to look at a new car (for him, I'm left with our nearly 20 year old Toyota!) and this afternoon we're off to visit the Oldies to make sure they are behaving themselves.  Some chance of that happening, bless 'em.

Just Saying ........

I had been wanting to use this little girl by Mo Manning (stamp from Stamping Bella) again for quite some time, and I happened to locate her during a rummage yesterday.

I think this speaks for itself.

Ready for the weekend

Morning all!  Have you heard the forecast for the weekend?  November weather at last, AND there is a chance of a flurry of the white stuff for us over here in the east ...... thermals at the ready!

I received some very welcome happy mail this week, and I could not resist getting this little fella inky immediately.

Isn't he just the most adorable?!
This is Winter Bunny from Roberto's Rascals at CC Designs
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Dies are Poppystamps/Memory Box Evergreen Landscape and Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillsides
The night sky paper was a scrap that was just laying on my desk
Matting layer is Bazzil Bling Raspberry
Sentiment from Sweet Little Sentiments set by Clearly Besotted

Well, that's me for today - I'm popping into town this morning once my hair is dry, and then this afternoon Rosie has a trip to the v.e.t for her six month check-up.  You may hear the screams about 2.15ish.

Equality!

Morning all!  I had more happy mail arrive at the end of last week and I am not known for patience when it comes to Roberto's Rascals so out came the inkies, and yes, more of the dreaded red, it really does have a mind of it's own!

Who said Santa can't be feminine huh?
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) with Polychromos for hair
Poppy Stamps Jumbled Merry Christmas die (the "Christmas" part is inside)
Crealies XXL rectangle stitched dies
Bazzil red cardstock

And that's all she wrote, sweet and simple.

Dainty Dancing

Morning all, how are you today?  We are having a relaxing, mooching about, hollibob day - Toad has popped out to get some stuff to repaint the shed so that will be a fun (!!) job for this afternoon if it doesn't rain.

In the meantime, I am popping by with my second July card for the Lili of the Valley Design Collective

Sorry, I should have warned you it's a bright one!

Extras: Nestabilities Superellipse dies and Poppy Stamps simple banner die
Medium:  Distress Inks (ReInkers), Polychromos Pencils and paper piecing

I am so sorry that I haven't been around much, and certainly huge apologies for the lack of comments over the past few months.  Some of you may know that my mum has been really unwell so it has meant, naturally, that blogging has had to take a back seat.  It has been all I can do to keep on top of my DT commitments.  Thankfully, mum now seems to be on the mend at last so I am hoping that I shall soon be able to have the time needed to come and visit you all again.

Hugs to anyone still out there who visits
