Anyone got a spare hot water bottle please? Afternoon all - hope you are warmer than we are, our boiler has gone on strike, and it is chuffty cold here in the east today. Isn't is strange how mechanical things choose the most inconvenient times to stop working - Saturday evening we noticed the radiators weren't getting warm, and of course, by then, the man who services our boiler had gone home for the weekend and his mobile is for emergencies only. Well, some might consider no heat as an emergency but I was thinking that would be more along the lines of a gas leak or an explosion! So, we spent the evening cuddled up under blankets. And I guess we will be doing the same thing tonight too. To be fair, I'm not really that cold, except for my hands, my toes and my nose. Brrrrrr.
Anyhoo, to today's card - this is for a very sweet young lady who is leaving my favourite coffee shop to work as a full time restaurant waitress.
I've used Sugar Nellie's Luv A Latte stamp and distress ink painted it. Papers are Dovecraft Tea Shop collection. I've chalk inked the edges of two of the papers to define them a bit more and now I wish I'd done the blue one too. Retro flower punch and Card Candy for the pink bloom, with Martha Stewart branch punch for the leaves. LOTV sentiment from their circular sentiments set.
Now, I'll be honest with you here.....as I know I am among friends.....when I first saw this Sassy image I absolutely hated it....but then I saw what the super talented Nic had done with her over at Coops Cluttered Corner in her Coffee & Cream creation and I started to think that maybe I could get used to her......she was an absolute joy to colour and I think I could grow to love her.....Himself on the other hand has outright told me he thinks she's freaky! Men!
That's me for today, I think I am suffering from blogger's droop so I'll try and catch up tomorrow.
Hugs, Squirrel xx

Hi sweetie totally gorgeous card the recipient is sure to love it. Shame about your heating hun it always pick the most inopportune times. If I lived closer to you I would bring you a few electric heaters that we keep in the shed. Hope you get it sorted soon hun.

Hi Squirrel. Cannot believe your boiler down too, so is ours, Hubby had to turn it off about 2pm today, it was making a loud popping noise, we were advised to turn it off and to phone them for an appointment tomorrow, so I am with you for COLD!
I agree with you about these stamps I cannot make my mind up if I loath them or love them!!!
I have only got one and it's the one where she looks like she has just woke up with a pillow, nice but only used her once.
I adore your papers, they look beautiful, and the LOTV sentiment is so nice, I hope to get them in March.
