OMG It's nearly here

Morning all, hope you are ok.  When I got off the bus this morning I had a nosey in The Card Factory window and depressed myself greatly by looking at boxes of 10 Luxury Handcrafted Christmas Cards ....... for 99p.  Oh come on!  99p?  Really? It's no wonder that I can't sell any of my genuinely handcrafted cards.  I can't compete with that!  But it does bring it home just how close Christmas is getting.  I may start to panic very soon.

Anyhoo, here is a card that is definitely NOT Christmas.  I made this for a friend who has recently been promoted to Manager of the coffee shop she works in.

Ingredients for this card are:
Stamped Image - LOTV Hello Cupcake
Medium - Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Papers - all LOTV Petal Fresh
Sentiment - Personal Impressions
Dies - Die-namics Faux Crochet border, Whimsy corner

Thank you for all your lovely comments.  Once again I am behind in catching up with you but I'm getting there slowly.  I'd also like to say goodbye to the Follower who left me yesterday - sorry you decided to go but it has been fun while you were here.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Hugs Sxx

Gorgeous card Squirrel ... Another of my fave LotV images ... You can really identify with the little girl who's hand hovers uncertainly as she can't decide which cake to have but knows she MUST be polite and only take one lol!!

Morning sweetie, this is just gorgeous in fabulous colours, I so know where you are coming from I sell my cards for £2 and people just moan they can get them for 69p so I tell them to do that, people seem to not appriciate the time and effort we put in, I think this year has gone so fast hugs pops x

Oh gosh, don't! I have a craft fair stall at the end of November and I'm aiming for £1 each for my cards, or £2.50 for 3. 10 for 99p is just miserable. But if people want the handmade look, they have to pay for it. And we have to cover costs even if we can't hope to cover time. :(

I'd pay for your cards, no question. Your colouring is just beautiful.

Thanks for your comment on my chicken card!

Have a great weekend, and try not to get your tail feathers blown away.

Mmmm cakes. Hungry now....

I know what you mean Squirrel, it's getting so close now! I get too stressed about everything around Christmas, so this year I'm ultra-organised - I have most of my presents bought already and a box of Christmas cards ready too.

I don't much sell my cards - I have an arrangement with my parents lol, they pay for crafty goodies for me every so often in exchange for cards when they want them :P And I guilt my sisters into buying cards from me instead of the shops, guilt is a great tactic :D lol.

This card is fantastic, I love the colour combo and that image is one of my favourites :)

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Beautiful colours on this one Squirrel! Blimey, £1 wouldn't cover the cost of the embellies I use on one card!!!!!! I've given up trying to sell my cards, it's just too depressing! I'm way behind with Xmas cards - may get the Beast to make them this year! Hugs, Jayne xx

Super adorable hun, love this image! I know exactly what you mean, where we live you can go get 10 for a quid too, and as I keep telling the peeps who keep telling me I am underselling myself, I am, but if I charged what some cards would really be worth then I wont make a penny, tis a hard place, but they cant buy what we do in the shops hun, hold on to that xxx

Know what you mean about the shop cards but they are quite thin cards but everyone seems to want things as cheeply as possible. I know which sort of card I prefer dropping through my letterbox, a lovely handmade one! Just a pity everyone doesn't think like that!

Anyway, great card, love the colours and the image is just so sweet xxx

Gorgeous card Squirrel and perfect for the lady who will receive it.
As for the Xmas cards, I don't make any to sell, can't compete with what is seen as handmade.

Yeah, but those 99p cards aren't made by the famous Squirrel Artiste so who'd waste their money on them??!!!!
