A Sunday Evening Quickie

Hi all, well I said I would be back "later", but I didn't mean this much later!  I got rather carried about making a birthday card for my brother-in-law.

This is Toad's brother, the husband of the sister-in-law who said her birthday card was "nicely put together".  Not that I am still annoyed by that or anything ......

Anyway, he is a difficult chap at the best of times to make a card for but I supplemented my inky splats stamps this week and so got the inks out and got colourful.

A very simple card but personally I love the end result
The large Happy Birthday is from a Hero Arts set
Inky splats are Visible Images and Kaisercraft sets
And I have discovered WH Smith black art paper - gorgeous quality and great for die cutting and matting layers
Coloured inks are all Memento pads

Enjoy the rest of your evening.  Hope to see you tomorrow when I shall be here bright eyed and bushy tailed with my DT card for Without Words Challenge.

Hugs all
Squirrel xx

LOVE the colours on this, a great card.

Thanks for the thumbs up for the black paper at WH Smiths, sometimes the black card is too heavy on a card, so will pay a visit and get some. :)

I'm sure his wife will agree that it has a very appropriate sentiment for a birthday, and the envelope fits it very well.

Seriously, it's lovely; colourful yet masculine, quirky and effective.

Shame about the coffee cup ring stain in the bottom left corner though. ;0)

Hey! This card is nicely put together too! Oh my, I'd forgotten about that. This is not your usual Squirrel Doings that's for sure. It's quite bright and vibrant-just right for a festive birthday card.
