Saturday? Monday? Sunday?

Who knows what day of the week it is, my furry little head is so confused.  We popped out this morning to do some errands, including a few basic groceries from the supermarket.  It was absolute bedlam!  I have never seen so many people wandering around without a clear idea of why they were there.  And so many screaming toddlers too (one of my pet hates, children who scream for no reason).  Trust me, we were glad to escape.

We have popped home to unpack the shopping and have a coffee before venturing out again.  I really need a visit to The Range to get some more Bristol Board as my supplies are dangerously low, but now I'm home and listening to the wind howling and the rain lashing against the window, I am wondering whether on-line might be the better option!

Anyhoo, I have a card for you today which I am entering into two challenges:
Stamping Sensations (December) Free And Easy
Sweet Stamping Challenge A Little Bird Told Me

This stamp was in a Christmas package from an off piste darling friend!
Bildmalarna - Mimosa Winter Birds
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Tattered Rose, Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Scattered Straw
Papers are all Nitwits/LOTV Winter Wishes
Sentiment is LOTV
Card Candy and silver borders from stash

Toad has developed the yuckiest cold ever, and this morning my glands are up.  I reckon I shall be in full snot mode just in time to go back to work.

Vince has had a very quiet Christmas, spending his time 20% eating and 80% asleep on someone's lap.  He is gradually returning to normal but we have to keep reminding ourselves that all this has been a huge shock to his system, and he is no spring kitten any more (he was 14 in September) so his recovery will take longer.  He seems to be enjoying all the attention and was somewhat put out that we had dared to leave him for a few hours this morning!

Hugs, Squirrel xx

I was on piste for this stamp - it was on your list!!!!!! AND I fell in love with it and nearly kept it!! But you've coloured her so much better than I could so I'm glad I parted with her :D Just scrumptious - the colours are sooo pretty. I'm in trouble. 3 packages came for me today - and there's more to come. Oops. A girl gotta grab a crafty bargain. Big hugs to Toad - hope he gets better soon. Mwah! xxxxx

Aww, cute card, and glad that Vince is feeling a bit better. He's probably still feeling a bit sorry for himself. I think he and Arnie are about the same age. We're not sure how old Arn is because the rescue centre told us he was 3 when we got him, but the vet subsequently told us he was at least 10 and probably more! That was 3 years ago.

Hope you are feeling better soon. I hadn't realised that Vince was not a youngster ... bless him he will take longer to recover. He's probably enjoyed the extra company and fuss during the holidays. Happy New Year :)

Oh, good, so I'm not the only one who is confused about which day is it. Luckily I could have another quiet day inside today, but tomorrow I need to do some grocery shopping. So not looking forward to leaving my warm apartment and go out in the wind and rain (darn, why on earth did I have to check the weather forecast for tomorrow). Luckily the store is not too far, so I hope to be back soon.
Your card is very beautiful. Beautiful colours.
Hugs! xx

Nice to hear Vince is doing so well.

unlucky me I know what day it is since I've had to work Friday, Saturday and today. Just a couple of hours tomorrow and I get a whole two days off!

Oh dear, your first paragraph could have been written by me! ;o) Whenever I hear kids screaming for no reason I want to slap the parents for not telling them to give it a rest.

Gorgeous card, very pretty colours you've used.

I hope Vince is back to his old self very soon.

Aww sweet card - sorry you're starting to feel crappy - at least you've had a decent amount of time off. I had Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, the 26th (only because I took a vacation day) & this week just Wednesday for New Year's Day. Really hard going to work bright & early, when the wind is whipping outside, the thermometer reads minus anything, & everyone else is curled up in bed! Maybe that's why I'm such a Scroogie :)
Happy New Year!!!

Ohhh, it's the same on this side of the pond...don't know what all those people were doing out and about, just wished they'd all go home! So glad to hear that my buddy is feeling better, all that lap time will help. Sorry that Toad is sick and you're not feeling to bushy tailed yourself. Hope you both feel better ASAP. Happy New Year to ya'll,

What is worse than screaming toddlers running round the supermaket? The mum's who don't stop them!!!!! Working in a supermarket, I find it appalling that parent's let their kids run wild while they are comeing through the checkouts.
Gorgeous card Squirrel :o)
I hope Toad is soon feeling better.
