DTDF (DT) Wendy's Cupcakes

Morning all, it's Saturday (hurrah) and I have a lot to squish in to today, so best I make a start by showing you my DIES TO DIE FOR make for this week.

As it has been so dark and miserable, I made this bright and cheery card for a friend's birthday last Monday.  She said it did indeed make her think of summer with the hot colours.

Now this is done, I need to get a gammon joint in the oven, go and get my haircut, dash over to the doctors' and collect a prescription for dad (he is still very under the weather), whip the gammon out of the oven, visit mum and dad, scoot back home to sort some stuff out (laundry etc), cook the rest of dinner, eat, and finally relax with a dose of Casualty!  Hope your day isn't going to be quite so rushed.

Hugs to all

AYLI (DT) Favourite Die

I'm scheduling this post for Thursday and our new challenge over at AS YOU LIKE IT - I hope by then we might have had a little bit of sunshine because, seriously, I am starting to feel like a mole with all this darkness.

Darkness is my excuse for a not very good photo this week, I had to take it under artificial light, which never gives a true reading of colour.

Anyhoo, our theme for this fortnight is FAVOURITE DIE (and why).  This was so difficult, it was like asking me to choose my favourite pet, impossible.  I use a lot of stitched effect dies, and I absolutely love these double stitched ones, they just finish the image panel off beautifully.  This simple square is one of my most used.

So, the things I have used to make this are:
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and Polychromos Pencils
Die-Namics Double Stitched Square Stax
Not sure about the border die, so if anyone could shed light on that I'd be grateful
LOTV: Circular Sentiment stamp
Die-Namics Stitched Circle Stax
Tonic dies (it's a scalloped frame from within a set (label long gone)
MFT 6x6 Dots & Stripes
Lilac cardstock from Rymans

and our generous sponsor for this challenge is

Lawn Fawn

Prize:

That's all from me folks.

DTDF (DT) Raven Loves Ribbon

Thank Crunchie it's Saturday!  Oh wow, it has felt like a really long week.
Anyhoo, I am here with a hoooge dose of sisterly love for my
Dies To Die For make for this week.

(pssst, this is why I should stick with CAS designs)

Here is the list of loveliness that I used (deep breath)
That fabulous sentiment comes with the stamp

Lots to do today, including some errands for my parents as dad is still poorly.
After that, I'm hoping for a quick nap!

Hugs to all

Viking Henry (DT) DTDF

Hello peeps, and welcome to the first Saturday of the New Year!  I'm here today with a dose of adventurous spirit for those men in your life (young or old) for my DIES TO DIE FOR
inspiration make.

and the list of wonderfulness used is

The font set used is "A Hint of Lime" from Die-Versions (bought from DTDF a long time ago) but any small font would work, this one is only 1/4" (6mm) and was a challenge!
The Impression Obsession Alphabet Plain LC would make a good substitute.

Image was painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and Polychromos Pencils
The background green paper is from an old pad of Basic Grey and I stencilled the Birch Trees with Gathered Twigs Distress Inks

Hugs to all

New Best Friend

Me again, just popping in with the details of my SNSRC card from the previous post.

It's been an absolute age since I have done anything other than DT work, so thought this would be a nice change to enter a card into a challenge and the sentiment of this card, along with the stamp set, fit beautifully at Sweet Stamping Challenge - Anything New

I have used my new stamp set
Martha Stewart grass border punch
Image has been, as always, painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

OK, that's me done for now, time to get sorted for work.

Hugs to all

SNSRC # 7 : Celebrate!

HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!

So sorry that the last SNSRC challenge didn't appear, I was ill for most of October, and after that it just seemed too close to Christmas, so we took a vote and decided to wait until now.

So to get the New Year off to a flying start, our theme for this challenge is
CELEBRATE

Here is what the Little Acorns +1 have been up to

Get an eyeful of this colourful and quirky anniversary card

It should always be a celebration when someone adopts a new pet

Really showing off on how to colour those tricky reds, this is a card
I want for my birthday!

Sue still seems to be celebrating Christmas, or getting ahead for the next one!

We are thrilled to be joined by the ever lovely Christina, who is celebrating a very
special little man's birthday

So that's your theme, off you go and create a celebration to share with us.
Challenge runs until 28 February

There were only six entries for the last challenge so there isn't a Top 3 this time
but the Winner is

Irene's Scrapbook

Please contact me, Squirrel, if you want to claim your prize
