As You Like It Challenge (DT) Gift Card/Money Wallet

Hey, it's time for a new themed challenge over at

The theme this time is your favourite way to decorate a gift card or money wallet
(please explain why)

I'm a terror with gift cards, they are very much gifts for that person who already has everything, or if I have left it too late to shop for a physical gift!  And I am so lazy, I tend to just decorate a small envelope, so this time I did a quick search and found a simple but very effective You Tube tutorial

I was so pleased that I actually had a WRMK notch punch for the thumb hole.  Yay me!

One sheet of A4 kraft card for the base
Flowered card stock from The Works for the matting panels
Pretty Pink Posh flower stamp
Crealies XXL80 small circle edge Circle dies
Some Distress Inks (ReInkers) for the stamped image and a
greeting stamp for the inside

I'm sure you will all be able to come up with something

Best Friend Forever

Crafting brings us together doesn't it?

After many years of card making now, I have made some absolutely fabulous and lifelong
friends in the crafting community, but there is always that special someone who you just
click with and the longer you know them, the more you discover they are more like family
than a friend.  A sister who I would have chosen.

I have one BFF who owns a large chunk of my heart, and I like to tell her that from time to time.

For this small, sweet, and simple card I have used
Painted with Zig Clean Colour Brush Pens as watercolours
and a left over sheet of pretty pink paper that I have no idea which pad it is from

As You Like It Challenge (DT) Favourite Food

Hellooooo (waving), how are we all then in the sunny month of May?

It's a Thursday, so it's time for a new challenge theme with the
and our theme this time around is Your Favourite Food
(please explain why it inspired your make)

If I'm not well, or if I can't be bothered to cook, or if I want something quick ..... soup!
There is something so comforting about a bowl of soup and thick bread or a roll (buttered).
My favourites, in order, are cream of chicken, oxtail, vegetable, and tomato.  Nothing fancy, but oh so delicious.

I really ought to make my own soup more often, but I couldn't bear to see this in my stock pot!

Whimsy Stamps - Get Well (DP1033)
Honey Bee 6x6 papers - Gingham Galore: Fall and Playful Pastels
MFT DieNamics Single Stitch Line Rounded Square Frame (MFT-1056)
Crealies XXL Double Dot Squares XXL50

Happy (no, really) Birthday

My favourite cousin and I are only 10 weeks apart in age (he's the eldest), and we've done a lot together over time - right through school together, learning to drive at the same time (I passed first), you get the idea.  And even though we are now heading towards a certain age, we still like to remind each other of how old we're getting.

I don't know why, but this just made me laugh - I hope he saw the funny side too.

A very simple card but I used
Coloured with a mix of Distress Inks (ReInkers), Zig Clean Color Pens, and Polychromos Pencils
Honestly not sure what make the striped paper is

Pawly Plushies

 Happy Saturday everyone!

I've been a busy little Squirrel this morning and already have a mahoosive pan of Squirrel Stew bubbling away on the stove (for those who don't know, it's a hybrid of bolognese sauce and chilli - it goes with rice, pasta, and jacket potatoes beautifully).  So that's tonight's dinner sorted, and about six boxes for the freezer.  The whole house now stinks of onion and garlic!

Anyhoo, today I bring you a get well card.  My boss of 17 years has recently been in hospital for surgery and is now, thankfully, recovering at home.  I wanted to send her a card from our team at the office so got busy the other weekend and made her this,.

I used the Clearly Besotted Pawly Plushies stamp set, and because I couldn't choose just two or three bears I used them all.  My fingers after fussy cutting them all were a wee bit sore!

I used a MFT Die-Namics Cover-Up die, lots of Lawn Fawn paper, and sentiments from Personal Impressions.

A fair quantity of Distress Inks (ReInkers) was also used.

Hope your weekend is a restful one.

Hugs
