Bright Future (DT) Dies To Die For

Morning all, happy weekend to you!

I'm one of those crafty weirdos who doesn't mind making male cards, so when a new male image becomes available I get a little bit excited.

Image painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Dark red card is DCWV from stash
I don't have the die for this stamp so little chap has been fussy cut

(excluding new Picket Fence and Pink Fresh Studios releases)

Dies To Die For (DT) Cat-Astrope

Hiya chaps, sorry I'm a bit later than my normal lateness but
this little Squirrel has been and had my second Covid vaccine today.  Got there 15 mins ahead of my appointment, went straight in, jabbed, out, and home again only 5 mins after the actual appointment time!  Now to wait for three weeks for it to be as efficacious as it can be.

Anyhoo, here is a dose of furry feline cuteness for you today

A cocktail of MFT 6x6 papers
and a random sentiment from my stash

Kitties painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) as watercolours

Hope you all have wonderful weekends

As You Like It Challenge (DT) Favourite Medium

Hello chaps, it's time for a new theme from

This time we'd like to hear about your Favourite Medium

It's watercolours for me, usually Distress Inks (ReInkers) as I have for this card, although I do occasionally have a dabble with my Zigs.  I've tried alcohol markers but never felt the love, and occasionally I'll dabble with pencils, but the comfort blanket is the DIs.

Sunny Studio 6x6 papers
and an unnamed border die

Hope to see you there

Freshly Picked Bouquet (DT) Dies To Die For

Things are springing in the garden, buds are opening and
colour is spreading.  It makes me happy.

Even though it is pouring with rain this morning, Mr Blackbird is out there giving it full voice and that always lifts my spirits.

Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) - I'm sorry that the camera doesn't show the subtly of the shading, it just seems to say "ooh, ok, yellow"

Dragon Water Fun (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello peeps, on this wonderfully wet Saturday!  Rain, at last, we've had the occasional brief shower this week, and some hailstones, but now we have a good, old-fashioned, wet to the bone, downpour.  I can almost hear the garden sighing with relief!

This little chap is totally prepared

Not many ingredients this week

Image painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) as watercolours.

Dragon was fussy cut, it took some patience, but I got there in the end!

As You Like It Challenge (DT) Favourite Way to Add Ribbon

Thursday again folks, so that's another new challenge from the

This time the theme is
Your Favourite Way to Add Ribbon

Is it very wrong of me to say I don't enjoy using ribbon?  It never stays where I put it, unless it's nailed down, and bows are the frippery of the devil.  However, I did make an exception with this rather sexy piece of black ric-rac ribbon, which was nailed down with ultra-sticky double sided tape.

This very 1920s style card was made using
CC Designs 20's Gals
CC Designs 20's Fellas
DoCrafts Foiled Art Deco card stock
Simon Says Stamp - Big Greetings 1
and yes, ribbon - black ric-rac ribbon from stash

Images painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

The sponsor for this challenge is, appropriately

I do hope you will be able to join in with the ribbony fun

Curvy Girl Gardener (DT) Dies To Die For

Is it just me or is it chuffy cold at the moment?  I'm looking out at all that needs to be done in the garden and thinking "nah, I'll wait 'til it's warmer"

This little lass however seems to be having great results with her blooms

For this I have used

I've painted her with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and fussy cut (she may have lost a strand or two of hair in the process).
Flowers done with an old Woodware medium daisy punch, with Craftwork Cards foiled Card Candy for centres.  Sentiment is from Personal Impressions.

When I went to attach the Candy centres, I discovered that silicon glue is not nice after it hasn't been used for a very long time.  I appear to currently have a large tube of slimy snot - guess that is heading for the bin.  Thank goodness for emergency foam pads!
