Hello chaps, did you miss me last week?  Sorry about that, things all went a bit wobbly for a while.

Anyhoo, not to worry, here are some Winter Kisses for you.

Family or Friends (DT) As You Like It Challenge

Well, here we are then, the final AS YOU LIKE IT CHALLENGE of 2020!

Our theme for this challenge is Family or Friends (who do you most like making cards for) - and please do remember to tell us why.

I like making family cards, but I really do enjoy making cards for friends, you always seem to be able to get away with that extra little bit of cheek or over the top bling (if bling is your style).  I made this one for a dear friend whose family are something of a challenge - I know she will appreciate the sentiment a lot.

I have used CC Designs Reindeer Swissie
and she has been painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
the sentiment is also CC Designs from an older set of sayings (red rubber, gasp)
and the papers are a mix of Dovecraft Back To Basics from Christmases past

And our sponsor for this challenge is

I do hope that you will be have to have some crafting time over the holidays and be able to pop over and join in the fun.

As You Like It Challenge - Inspired by Your Favourite Christmas Film

Blimey, there aren't many Thursday left this year, and this is the penultimate

This time our theme is Inspired by Your Favourite Christmas Film

My favourite film, produced by Aardman Animations (creators of Wallace & Gromit) was released in 2011, so only 9 years ago, but I think I must have seen it a minimum of 15 times.  It has become a Christmas Eve tradition at Squirrel Towers that once work is over, we settle down with a cup of tea and a bun, and enjoy all over again the fun that is Arthur Christmas.

Things used
Penny Black stamp - Santa's Helper : 4359J
Impression Obsession - Merry Christmas : DIE330-R
Simple Stories 6x6 paper - Classic Christmas : #7322
Dovecraft 6x6 paper - Krafty Christmas

"Arthur" has been painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

Birfday Dragons (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello peeps, hope you are ok today.

I was running a bit tight on time this week so today's card is my traditional
CAS style - you don't always need a lot of stuff to make a card with impact, sometimes it is simply a matter of colour to create a statement

The image and the sentiments are all from the

I paired two of the sentiments from the set, and painted Dragon with Distress Inks (ReInkers).  The "icing" came out more red than pink, so he looks a little water-melon-y!

Paper is from a Dovecraft Back To Basics set that I fell in love with because of the cheerfulness of the designs and rainbow colours

As You Like It Challenge (DT) His or Hers

Hello peeps, Squirrel here today.  I hope you are all ok as we venture into the second UK lockdown.  I will be working from the office this time, hopefully in splendid isolation as so many changes have been made to keep those who have to be in there nice and safe.  It'll be a case of suck it and see for a while, if too many people decide they can't work from home then there will have to be a rethink.

Anyhoo, I'm here with my DT make for the new AS YOU LIKE IT CHALLENGE theme, and this time the theme is HIS OR HERS (your favourite to make for and why).

Most of my makes tend to be for the ladies, but I do really enjoy making for the boys, especially if they are young enough for me to get away with cute, or if they are too old for cute then for me to be cheeky.  Male cards tend to suit my clean and simple style much better.

I actually made this one for a commission earlier in the year so have been saving it just for this challenge!

The images are CC Designs "Surprise" and Whimsy Stamps Calories Schmalories stamp set, both coloured with Distress Inks (ReInkers).
I'd love to give you the details for the dies but .......... the letters, number, and tag are all MFT Die-Namics.
And the papers, I think those are Echo Park, but I cannot be 100% sure.

And after that vagueness, our sponsor for this theme is POLKADOODLES (I can remember some things, honest)

Best In Show (DT) Dies To Die For

Morning all, I hope this finds you all safe and well and with a good stock of loo rolls.

Just lately we have had occasional visits from my boss's dog to the office, Bertie is so much fun and just loves people.  He's a very happy dog but has a cheeky streak.  Only yesterday we had a small chase around trying to retrieve a roll of green ribbon that he'd run off with.  He thought it was the best game ever.  His energy and good nature inspired this tiny make.

Combined stamp set and dies offer
scrap of MFT 6x6 paper

Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and a scribble of Polychromos shadow

Stay safe

Blue Plus One (DT) As You Like It Challenge

Oh I am in sooooooo much trouble - I forgot to schedule my DT post for this morning (oooops), so without more ado.....

This time over as AS YOU LIKE IT CHALLENGE our theme is Blue Plus One, so that is mostly blue, plus one other colour, and please explain your choice.

In my book, the best colour to go with blue is red.  I don't know why, it just seems to work so well.  Maybe it's the old patriotic thing of red, white, and blue, but I find blue and red together ridiculously pleasing.

So, I have used
Image and stencilling done with Distress Inks

Knitting Penguin (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello everyone, hope you are ok this morning.  A huge furry hug going out to anyone who needs it.

Like many kids of my generation, I was desperate to learn to knit so that I could make a Tom Baker Dr Who scarf.  I was taught the basics by my mum, and did manage a scarf (sort of) which I wore a lot.  I'm not sure that I have knitted anything since!  Actually, that's a fib, I did knit a jumper, it had no shaping, it was just rectangles sewn together, and I did wear it once, just once.  I wonder what happened to that?!  Having failed to get to grips with two needles, I am now trying to learn to cope with one with a bit of crochet.  Not convinced that this adventure is any more successful!

Anyhoo, this little chap has certainly got the hang of things

Ingredients for this make

The sentiment comes with the stamp so, as always, good value from Stamping Bella.

Image painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) as watercolours.

Christmas Cheer (DT) Dies To Die For

Morning all.  How are we today?  I spent all week in the office for work, and I am absolutely pooped now.  Not being allowed to use the bus means having to drive into town every day, and traffic levels are definitely increasing.  There was a time when I wouldn't have cared, I'd drive anywhere, but these days I am less confident and really hate being stuck in jams.  Don't laugh, but it is hard on the knees too with all the gear changing, the other night I caught 14 red traffic lights (yes, 14 of the damn things) and my clutch knee was exhausted by the end of it all!

Anyhoo, enough of my ramblings, here is today's little dose of festive:

So for this one we have:

I can't remember where the red edging paper came from but suspect it is an older MFT pad.

The snowflake die is one I treated myself to from Simon Says Stamp, it is one of their own brand dies.

Oval dies used are from Crealies.

Image painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

Twinkly gem from stash - I bought loads from W H Smith when they were on Sale.

Non Card Project (DT) As You Like It Challenge

Hello peeps, here we are at another Thursday already, gosh these weeks are whizzing by!

There is a new challenge starting today over at AS YOU LIKE IT and this time we would like you to share a favourite non card project with us (please explain your choice).

Now, I am not very organised when it comes to present wrapping, but I do have a fondness for cute little boxes, so when I get the opportunity and get my btm into gear then I do like to make a box.  I'm really into the kraft and white combination at the moment and I think it works really well for a little festive gift.

I made this using my WRMK Box Board for the basic box, cut the layers using Bristol Board and the same smooth kraft card that the box is made from, die cut a selection of gorgeous Mama Elephant snowflakes, and the sentiment from Impression Obsession.  The top circle panel for the box seal was cut with a plain Tonic layering circle and a MFT Die-Namics Double Stitched Circle Stax die.
