This time our theme is Under My Umbrella, which seems appropriate for April.
This is my favourite bear in the world, James from Lili of The Valley
Painted in Distress Inks (ReInkers) and the top of his umbrella is paper pieced
(my painting ain't that good!)
Papers are from a Forever Friends Best of British pad
and the sentiment is, I think, possibly Hero Arts
So, if we are having those April showers, why not stay indoors and get crafty!

When I saw the challenge on Coops' blog this is the image that came to mind, love James too and love this sweet stamp. Gorgeous colours x
The shading under the umbrella is great, and I also struggle with large open spaces, so that brolly would have freaked me out. I think it looks great paper pieced though, fab idea. And James, of course, is adorable.

I love the paper pieced umbrella - I was going to do paper piecing with this image (some time!) but hadn't thought to do just the top and colour underneath - now that's clever and looks so awesome :-)
