Christmas With Cat Hair

Afternoon all, hope you are well.  Had a nail-biting day watching the Olympic Men's Road Race - poor Cav, it's such a shame he missed out.  Seems as if "the rest of the World" were letting our boys do all the work.  And as for Fabian Cancellara's dramatic crash, I confess to a tear.  He is such a superb rider, a great sportsman and a really nice guy - hugely disappointed for him that his Games are over so soon because of injury.

Now, a few among you will know that I am not a Domestic Goddess - and here is the proof.  We thought we'd have a stirfry tonight for dinner and I got the ingredients when we shopped on Wednesday but Toad (and this is a rare event) remembered today that we hadn't bought a sauce.  We both thought that we must have one tucked away in a cupboard, and we did, we found two - Best Before End 2006 and 2007 respectively!!  I really should clean that cupboard out more often, lol.

Anyhoo, I am here with my entry for this week's SWEET STAMPING CHALLENGE which is Christmas In July.  I've made four Christmas cards in the past couple of days so while I was in the mood .....

And yes, that is a cat hair on the right side of the card.  Little devil, if there was a Gold Medal for fur shedding he would have a stack of them by now.

Not much to tell you about the card really - image is LOTV My Little Tree, painted in Distress Inks (ReInkers) on Bristol Board, the matting layer is from scraps box and I did the sentiment on the computer.

That's all folks!

That latest LOTV release was one absolutely fabulous image after another, wasn't it? It's definitely going to be a big Lili Christmas at my house. LOL Lovely colors on this one.... one day I may try DI painting again. They are so soft compared to the alcohol markers. Of course, I will probably bin the first 20 attempts as they won't measure up to yours. =)

As to the cat hair... I'll put my black and tan Lissa, yellow lab Zoe and striped tabby Spencer up against Vince any day. Since they're all colors, no matter what I wear, it's got a hair or 20 showing... and I've killed more Hoovers and Dirt Devils than I can count. But the love that comes packaged in those hairy little creatures is worth every lint-remover roll and stuffed up Hoover tube. =) Have a great weekend! Mwah! ~Christy

Haha I know the cat hair feeling :D My cats like to sit in the room while I'm crafting, and one is a rescue cat that lives outside - she loves being inside but she's very jumpy and likes to be near her escape route - which means the only place she settles is on my craft desk cos it's by the window :P so yeah I need to de-fur my desk fairly regularly :P

This is a gorgeous card, that image is adorable and I love the bright colours :)

Brilliant image & card - fab colouring as always. On the subject of best before, my son asked for oatcakes with his soup at lunch. Went to cupboard - oops, best before end Jan! Never mind says me I have another in the store cupboard, which I did and duly presented - never said they were best before end Jun!!! Jx

Darling card! I love the simplicity which gives so much focus to the image. Also makes it look like the snow. Fun colors in his hat too!

What a wonderful CAS card :o)
I had to go to work before the road race finished and was devastated for Cav and the team when customers kept telling me about the finish :o(
I have no doubt they will, in the words of the old song, 'pick themselves up, dust themselves down and start all over again'

A wonderful card, I love how you say
"not much to tell about the card" when it's a joy to behold.

I went to make a cake last week, found SR flour 2009, thought I'd better not use it! Also goes to show how much I cook!

Gorgeous card hun, love the image and the colouring is fantastic!

I felt so sorry for Cav, poor lad, he tried so hard.

I am definitely no domestic goddess hun, the only time my cupboards get cleaned out is when Den does them! And as for pet hairs, you want to try having a dog!

Dude. Cat hair is an excellent embellishment. Cat is is always an excellent fashion accessory. As soon as we make cars that run on cat hair, we'll be ga-zillionaires. Just remember that.
