Wish (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello peeps, a little later than usual but we have had huge excitement watching a shrub being removed!  Our house is one down from a junction, which makes getting out of our drive a little hairy at times as all the roads on the estate were designed to be curvy (intended to slow traffic, but really messes with visibility).  Our old neighbours decided that it would be a good idea to grow a hedge on the boundary of their garden, right alongside the junction - well, they weren't the most enthusiastic gardeners in the world, so the hedge got higher, and higher, and higher, until you simply could not see any cars waiting to pull out into our road, and they couldn't see us either because of the way the road bends.  The wife managed to get her own car hit when she was reversing out by someone coming round the corner who simply couldn't see her because of her own damned hedge.

Our new neighbours, who moved in a few months ago, have been slowly dealing with the garden and this morning I woke up to the sound of a chain saw and.......... yaaay the hedge has gone!  We can now see up the road and, more importantly, we can see the road junction, and people can see us, so no more holding your breath as you leave the driveway!

Anyhoo, today I have something very simple for you, and no coloured image in sight.

For this I have used:

The stitched circle die is MFT DieNamics A2 Stitched Circle - I bought it from DTDF when it first came out, but the set wasn't on the website for long, so sorry about that.

Oh and yes, the Happy Birthday is heat embossed.

Hugs to all

Please be aware that there may be a little delay in you receiving your order, Tracy is doing her best but is working alone until her sister is allowed to return to help with picking and packing the orders.  Be kind, be patient.

Beary Special Birthday (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello everyone, wishing you all a happy bank holiday (UK) weekend!

OK, so I love teddies, and I love Birdie Brown, so this set is the perfect combination.
Actually, I think it was my first ever Birdie Brown stamp set and it started the journey down the slippery slope of got-to-have-them-all.  I didn't buy the matching dies at the time, and (oh hindsight is a wonderful thing) I wish I had because it has taken me forrrrrrrrrrrrever to get them, but they arrived last week and I am now a very happy little critter!

and the matching dies Beary Special Birthday MFT-936

Bear with balloon painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Red card from stash
Ignore the patterned paper, I stole it from one of the Hubby's origami pads!

As You Like It Challenge (DT) Favourite Embellishments

Hello Thursday!  It's time for a newly themed challenge from
and it is Your Favourite Embellishments
(please explain your choice)

Most of you know that I prefer a clean and simple style, so embellishments are very few and far between, however occasionally, if an embellishment is called for, I prefer to use die-cuts or punched shapes as accents as they are more in keeping with my CAS style, for this one I have created a little fountain of stars.

So the ingredients for this are:

I have watercoloured the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

Looking forward to seeing all your lovely embellies!

Margarita Time (DT) Dies To Die For

Hello everyone, how are you this morning?  I hope you are all keeping safe and well.

In these difficult times, I wouldn't mind betting that people are drinking
more at home, if I did drink then I think I would have the odd glass too but these
days booze makes me fall over, so the strongest you will see me with is a
weak lager shandy on a hot summer's day!

Ingredients used:

I have watercoloured the image with Zig Clean Color pens and fussy cut her.  I must have a
steadier hand than I realised as I didn't even cut the cherry off by mistake!

Mermazing

What happened to the weather?!  Yesterday was really warm and sunny from start to finish, it was warm overnight, and now it is cloudy with strong winds and a distinct chill in the air.  Are we still in May?

Anyhoo, while Himself went out on his allowed exercise for the day, I decided to tuck myself up with Rosie in the conservatory and, whilst listening to Bernard Cribbins reading Winnie The Pooh on audiobook, I had a little play with this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge # 488 from My Favorite Things.

I have used:

MFT DieNamics circle frame die
MFT Watercolor Wash papers
MFT Clear Stamps Brush Splatter Background

I coloured the stamped images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens
and then fussy cut them all with teeny scissors

Thanks for popping by today

Stay safe

As You Like It Challenge (DT) Purple Plus One

Hello peeps, it's another alternate Thursday (yes, it really is Thursday) so that means a new challenge theme from the AS YOU LIKE IT team.

This time around we have a colour theme and would like you to combine
PURPLE PLUS ONE (that is, one other main colour)
Please do remember to tell us about your choice for your entry to be a valid one.

You might have guessed that I would go for a bright choice - I have combined purple with yellow as, not only are they complementary colours, they are also so happy and remind me of Spring flowers, like the ever cheerful crocus.

So, the things I have used for this little card are:
Central papers are from a couple of Sunny Studio pads
and the purple paper is from an old LOTV/Nitwits pads
The Cheers sentiment die is a Simon Says Stamp die
and the loopy scallop square base die is an old Nestabilities

Image painted with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens

PS.  The little fish was cut from a page of very fishy Sunny Studio Summer Splash paper

Our sponsor for this challenge is for the digi users amongst you

Looking forward to seeing all your colourful creations.

Harvest Mouse (DT) Dies To Die For

Yes, it's me, sorry about last Saturday's hiccup (did you even notice?), but I am back now.

I have been really struggling with my mood during lockdown, some days I'm fine, bright and chirpy, but other days, such as most of last week, I'm low and tearful and wanting to hide under the duvet.  Working from home in splendid isolation is not suiting me at all.  I really miss the interaction with my colleagues and the buzz of the office.  For heaven's sake, I am even missing my boss!!

Some weeks I find it difficult choosing what to use, I must have bought THOUSANDS of stamp sets from Dies To Die For over the years, and I am not exaggerating on numbers, so this week I had a little rummage through the slightly older, but still available, sets to see what I could find and came across these little cuties.

OK, they are out of season but who cares that it's not autumn yet, let's face it, no one knows for certain what day/week it even is!

And the lovely things used

So, colourwise, I used bog standard Distress Ink pads and finger daubers to use with the stencils for the clouds and grass, and for the mice they are a multi-media mash of Distress Inks (ReInkers), Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, and Polychromos Pencils.

Hugs to all
