Ruff

Morning all, happy Saturday to you!  I've not done much crafting this week, time has slipped away like the slipperiest slippery thing, so I find myself at this end of the week with not much I can show you.

I did make this card, but I'm not sure I should have done.  I spent ages on the image, wasn't overly happy with it but because I had faffed around with it for so long it got made into a card anyway!

The really cute stamp is Doggie Gift from Whimsy
Coloured in part with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and part in Polychromos Pencils
Papers are Basic Grey Max and Whiskers
Sentiment is Clearly Besotted
and I have had the paw brad for so long there is no hope of remembering who made it

I think it is obvious that the trouble with this one started when I decided to give the grey terrier a hairy coat!

Well, Rosie has made herself well and truly at home in the three weeks she's been here, and her confidence grows by the day - too much sometimes!  She is a nosey little devil.  Last night she managed to evade my attempts to keep her out of the garage and shot between my legs and disappeared into the deepest, darkest corner.  I think Vince may have left her a note to say "if you go here, they can't reach you".  It took a lot of rolling of the pingpong ball around the kitchen floor (she can't resist it) and shaking of the Dreamies for her to eventually reappear.  This morning she is in the conservatory, unsupervised.  Don't worry - my inks are well covered.  This time.

Chocks Away!

It's not often that I get to play along with challenges these days, but I had one of those "lucky" moments when a stamp I have had for ages and have been wanting to use just fitted perfectly with a challenge that posted at the weekend.

So, the stamp is Molly Blooms Chocks Away MB-0270J
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Striped hillside is Echo Park Bundle of Joy, Dots & Stripes
Stitched border is Lil'inker Designs Border Builders set
Best Wishes sentiment is Clearly Besotted Sentimental Type clear sentiments set

Senior Moment

Morning all, just a quick post before I dash off to do some shopping for mum and dad, deliver it, dash back, get some washing on, get the pork in the oven to roast, try and watch the live F1 qualifying, finish getting dinner ready ....... yeah, you know that sort of day.

I only made this card about six weeks ago, but have forgotten where most of the ingredients came from!

I really should learn to write these things down as I go.
However, I can tell you that the image stamp is LOTV Giant Cake, painted with Distress Inks, and I think the papers are Basic Grey, the sentiment might be MFT, and the curvy stitched die might be Lawn Fawn.  That's the best I can do!

Have a good weekend.
Hugs

PS.  I have noticed something odd - everytime I post something from my office computer, it seems to start a new section of my blog.  If you click on Older Posts it is all still there, I promise!

Freckles

Morning all.  Oh boy, am I glad it's Friday, it means the weekend is only a few hours away.  Poor mum has been really unwell again this week so I have been on Nurse Squirrel duty, so for those of you who Believe, please keep her in your prayers.

On a lighter note, Rosie, that cheeky little minx of tabbiness, has really made herself at home, even to the extent of pinching my warm armchair Wednesday night, and she has just dumped her rather portly frame in front of the computer - it's been a long time since I tried to schedule a post by touch alone!

And speaking of cheeky, this one looks like she is too!
This is "Freckles" from CC Designs Pollycraft
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and Polychromos Pencils
Pink patterned paper was a magazine freebie
So was the floral corner die
Purple cardstock is Bazzill Basics
and purple gingham Card Candi is from Craftwork Cards

Springs In

After the past two days you would be forgiven for thinking that summer is here, but honestly, it is still mid April!

The challenge this time at Tiddly Inks Challenges is Springs In and, for me, there was one obvious stamp.

So this is a Wryn stamp from Tiddly Inks called "Hopping By"
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and with some help of Polychromos Pencils for her hair
I have been rummaging about in my ancient papers box - I think the greens with daisies on are from Wild Rose Studio and the mustardy yellow card is Bazzill Basics.
Sentiment from LOTV

Thanks for popping over for a visit, always lovely to see you.

Hugs to all

Spring Bella

It's a beautiful Spring morning, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, the flowers are starting to bud and bloom - oh, and yeah, it's piggin' Monday!

Anyhoo, as an antidote to Monday, and in celebration of Spring, I have a delicate little number for you all today.  Remember the order for an elephant card?  Well this is the customer's accepted version, thank goodness, I was getting a little ellietwitchy.

So we have Bella With Daisy from Wild Rose Studio
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Papers are Nitwits and sentiment is LOTV
MFT Stitched Circle die and Nesties Classic Circle die
Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch to finish off

We had a really good and rewarding weekend with Rosie.  I can't believe she has been with us a week today.  Having lived previously in a bungalow, noises from upstairs were freaking her out a bit but she has been brave and ventured up on her own and discovered a whole new and exciting world that includes beds for jumping on in the wee small hours.  It's a good job I am already on beta blockers for my blood pressure!  We bought her lots of new toys, and each of them has taken a hammering, and she has also taken quite a shine to my Glitter Pot cardboard box.

Hugs to all
