Waaaay Overdue For An Eye-Test

Morning all, how are we on this bright and sunny Saturday morning?  We had a little visitor in the garden this morning.  A small black and white cat wearing a red collar.  I very quietly crept out the back door and stood there, in my fluffy dressing gown and tatty slippers, calling gently but it seemed to have vanished.  And then I saw a little nose peeking out from behind a flower pot.  Bless.  Talk about timid.  Mum always reckons that I am Dr Doolittle when it comes to cats but this little chap wasn't having any of it.  Never mind, I'll wear him down eventually!

Anyhoo, I need my eyes tested.  I made two cards for today's LESS IS MORE OLC Script challenge, and they are both on the squint.  I'm terribly short sighted at the best of times, take my specs off and I fall over, but for reading and crafting I can see much better without them ..... or so I thought.  Oh well, back to the drawing board, but you might as well have a chuckle at these two in the meantime!

Penny Black eye chart stamp (how appropriate) and a Woodware alphabet print stamp

Hero Arts "Happy" definition stamp and a Hero Arts Happy Birthday from a clear set

Vince has just jumped in front of the screen, so now, not only are things on the huh, they are black and white and fuzzy!

Right then, off to play with something that doesn't matter too much if it's not straight.

Hugs Sxx

oh my don't remind me that each time I go to the opticians firstly it costs me more and secondly my eyes are most definitely going in the wrong direct :)

but both are great, wish I could do LIM as well

It's strange how you think that you've lined everything up perfectly and then when stamped, things look a little off... it happens frequently to me... sometimes things get cut down and reused but with a one layer job it's not possible.
Great ideas Squirrel!
Thanks so much
Chrissie

Isn't it so annoying when that happens - I usually notice from the photo when I'm posting, everything looks fine until then :0) Great cards anyway!

I have a problem, Corneaitus and astigmatism ]spell?] and it distorts terribly. My glasses correct it, but I do find it hard sometimes with exactly straight! Hence my layout this week lol
FAB ideas, sure you can reuse them
Thank you very much

I like your eye chart and it's quite fun to be slightly squint. It makes it look even more as if it's hanging on the wall! x

fab cards hun,.love the brilliant eye test image,i am terrible at getting things straight especailly matting and layering, thats why a lot of my edges are distressed.it hides the wonkyness.lol.
we have had a new cat in our garden today too, a very pale ginger kitten.the brazen little thing followed us straight through the door much to a certain black and white residents disgust.

xx coops xx

Since I have a blind spot dead center in my vision on my right eye, "straight" is no longer in my crafty vocabulary. Not that it was ever there. LOL I guess it just adds to the erm, charm of being handmade. =) LOL And with my sight, I'd have my nose inked up with Copics if I tried to craft without spectacles-or in my case contacts. Now I'm sitting here wondering if you have an inky nose. hee

Great fun cards, love that eye test stamp, I also have a remarkable talent for stamping things squiffy ....I find if you squint your eyes up tight and put the card across the room they generally look straight :-)
