Life's Gremlins And A Bunny

So, I've not been around that much since October, and for a variety of reasons.  The start of the decline was losing our precious Vince, that really knocked me for six and I miss him so much every day.  Then mum was really unwell.  Then it was the laptop playing silly beggars, that still hasn't been fixed because of the next reason - we are trailing all over the place looking for someone to do our kitchen (complete rebuild), and then the bathroom leaked which meant three visits from a plumber.  We are only one week into February and I am exhausted already!

The really worrying thing is that the longer I have been away from blogging, the less I am missing it.  I really need to get my act together and attempt to blog more often, even if it does take me an hour to get the laptop running.  I notice I have lost a couple of followers recently, and I am not surprised.  What does surprise me is that more of you haven't given me up as a lost cause, so a huge thank you to those who are sticking with it.

Not blogging does not equate to not crafting though.  I am still beavering away happily, and I would like to share with you a card I made last weekend for someone special.

So, what we have here is
Scrapberry "Cherry" stamp from Funky Kits
Painted in Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Sentiment by Clearly Besotted
Papers are Dovecraft Back To Basics
Border punch by Martha Stewart

Challenge
and I do love my fabulous friends
Plenty of pretty hearts on this one
I challenge you to say this is not cute!

So, that's me, a whole post!  And I have a special one lined up for Thursday too.

Hugs to you all
Squirrel xx

Now if followers leave you then they're not true followers!
You don't have to blog all the time; I only blog once a week or so.
The main thing is you are still making your most beautiful cards.
Sending a pussycat comforting hug >^-^< xxxx

  17. Hi Squirrel know what you mean about blogging and not missing the longer you are away, life does have a habit of doing that. So sorry to hear about Vince ,it was so obvious how much you loved him but our 4 leged friends do have a habit of burrowing deep into our hearts, think its all the love they give unconditionally. My son got a cat last april and as he works all day she comes to play at my house during the day and goes home when he gets in so she thinks both houses are hers, and although she isn't my cat supposedly I keep telling her she is getting too deep into my heart and I do love her to bits with all the antics she gets up to so I can understand how you feel.
Love your card as always and hope to pop back soon.

  20. I'm really sorry that you've had so much rubbish to deal with in the last few months, and I wish I could take it all away from your shoulders, but it's so lovely to see you back here. Reading all the lovely comments left above hopefully reminds you just how much your true friends and followers really do value you.

Your bunny card is absolutely adorable. My favourite colour and gorgeous colouring. I also love the offset fold and border punching. It's perfect honey, and Cherry is so pretty. Please don't stop sharing your stunning creations to those of us who find them truly inspiring.

  21. Hello lovely lady :)
I often think about you knowing how much you will be missing your beautiful baby boy. It's 11 years today I lost my giant fur baby and my heart still breaks over losing him, he was my baby as Vince was yours, & it's sill early days for you hunny, Vince was such a huge part of your life & always will be. Treasure those memories & photos of your handsome boy & who knows maybe one day another little fur baby in need of love & care will worm his or her way into your heart & bring you some comfort & joy again.
Before I begin the blub thinking of you & Vince let's talk cards!
You most definitely haven't lost your touch with your colouring Squirrel, it's so perfect and beautiful and the image is adorable.
Take care hunny, hope to "see you" again soon
    big hugs xxxx

  27. You have certainly had a lot on your plate recently and I'm not surprised that blogging has taken a back seat.

I miss seeing so many of your gorgeous creations but blogging shouldn't feel like a chore and isn't the reason we all make cards so you just keep on creating and share whenever you feel like it!

I'm so happy you shared this pretty card design though, not least because it is gorgeously PINK! The cut-away front section is lovely, the image is adorable, the DP is fab and I think I might *need* those sentiments!

    Big hugs, Kat xx
