Piff Paff Poof!

Evening all.  Blimey, one day back at work and I am schazzamed already!  I hope the rest of the week doesn't go like today has!

Well, there is a fabulous and fun challenge over at CARDS FOR MEN that I couldn't miss out on, it's theme is Myth & Magic, which reminds me of the opening sequence to my beloved "Merlin" series on BBC.  It feels so strange having Strictly without Merlin on the same night.  I know we now have "Atlantis" from the same stable, but without the delicious Colin Morgan as Merlin, there is no izzy whizzy let's get bizzy going on for me.  Speaking of Strictly, did anyone catch Hairy Dave doing the Jive?  I thought the judges were so harsh, particularly with his enthusiasm and energy.  I am not sure we were supposed to laugh all the way through his routine, but laugh we did.  Thanks Dave for the highlight of the night!

Anyhoo, my card for the challenge, here it is:


I've used the LOTV stamp Abracadabra
(am ashamed that this is only his second inking!)
Painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers)
Sentiment is an alphabet set that I picked up in Paperchase
Letters stamped in variety of Memento Inks
Cosmic Stars die from Memory Box
Matting layer cardstock from leftovers stash

    Another fab card and will so have to use some magic to make my pennies grow so I can get all the fab LOTV stamps on my wish list,lol.

    Gorgeous card Squirrel, the colours are fab :D I'm Harry Potter obsessed so everything wizard related reminds me of that! In fact I"m watching the movie series right now...for the second time in as many weeks :P yay for magic :D

    Aaah Merlin, i miss it too - although towards the end, we didn't allow our 6 year old to watch it, as it got to dark for him, Luv Sam x

    Wonderful card Squirrel I love that image (it's on my never-ending wish list). As always your colouring is perfection and I really love the coloured sentiment.
    Yes, Dave was fabulous on Saturday. I hope that he stays for a while, laughing is the best medicine!

    Wonderful card, as always. The orange matt is perfect to set it off.

    I thoroughly enjoyed the first Strictly dances. I'm sure Dave will stay in a few weeks because at least his dance was entertaining ... more than can be said for some :)
