1,000th Post!!

Good heavens, can you believe that this is my 1,000th post?  Makes it sound like I talk a lot, lol!!

Are you having a good Saturday?  We have been over to see my parents this afternoon and ending up watching a weasel in the garden.  Amazing little critters. Mum reckons it is Dad's friend as it often appears when he is outside.  Perhaps Dad is a Weasel Whisperer.

Anyhoo, the Less Is More challenge this week is Use Scallops - just goes to show that I have been watching too much MasterChef as my first thought was of shellfish ...... but here are two slightly more conventional uses of scallops for you


This is the second card I made but the one I like the best.  I cut a mask using a scalloped square Nestie, and then randomly inked with Distress Inks around the outside to get the patchwork effect, then simply stamped over with the Stampendous flowers and the Papermania word stamp.


This was the first one I made - used a stamp from the LOTV Babies companion set, painted with Distress Inks, used my classic and scalloped oval Nesties, a strip of Prima paper with a Magnolia border die, and a Hero Arts sentiment.

Hope you are having super weekends - remember, if your Easter Egg is broken it is okay, it just means all the calories have fallen out.  Enjoy!

    Maybe I should secretly go to the egg stash and break a couple, so I can eat more? Great idea! :)

    1000 posts...wow!! I have a way to get there..lol..two fabulous cards, love the background in the pastel colours, so pretty, and the cute little rabbit, fabulous colouring..oh! I wish I knew about the calories before I scoffed so many eggs and rabbits...never mind I know next time I indulge...break them first..got it..lol..

    Yeeee ha! 1000 posts!!!! Fabaroonie! I just love your cards, and agree over your favourite too,so very clever lady! Love the idea of calorie free Easter eggs but I'm sure Rosemary Conley won't agree when I get weighed next week;) but I just might give it a try! Happy Easter

    Two beautiful cards Squirrel but admit the first is my favourite. You made me laugh about the fish comment - when my sister asked me yesterday what the challenge at LIM was she thought exactly the same.........now would they be wrapped in pancetta sitting on top of black pudding??? lol Happy Easter.

    Two gorgeous cards but the first one is my favourite. I love the way you have created the scalloped centre and of course I love all the agapanthus stamps. I may have to have a go at this method if you don't mind :o)

    Congratulations on your 1000th post sthat is some achievement.

    Love your cards, especially the first one. Only because it's a different style for you.
