Flower Power!

Morning all.  Friday at last, phew!  It's been a long week.  Anyhoo, last night when I was browsing blogland I found the challenge at My Mum's Craft Shop - To Use Your Favourite Stamp - oh that'll be easy I thought, and then I went to look through my stamps and panicked.  Which favourite one to use?!  My favourites change all the time and I don't think I can put my finger on just one stamp but this little darling comes pretty close to top of the list.

This is Flower Power from Crafter's Companion - Strawberry Kisses and I love it.  It is simply a joy to stamp (as are all the Crafter's Companion stamps) and a real pleasure to paint, so out came the Distress Inks (ReInkers) and off I went.

I've simply matted the image on a piece of white card edged with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink to match in with the green used on the image, and then again onto plain white.  Had a rummage through my odds and ends of papers and found this piece of Joanna Sheen green tartan that matched pretty well with the Shabby Shutters.  Simply finished off with a LOTV Circular Sentiment (another favourite) and a few gems from the stash.  Ta-dah.

As for the guesses why my bus was late yesterday morning - some of you are getting close, but no prize yet.  Keep guessing!  I'll reveal the nearest answer and the real answer tomorrow (internet connection permitting).

Hugs Sxx

Was the bus driver late because he left his phone at home? Or that he had to take his kids to school first :P

  16. This is abso-freaking-lutely adorable. And your coloring... I wish I was independently wealthy so I could pay you to color images all day. LOL

As to the bus...you're a tease. If it's related to the bus driver...hmmmm... let's see, the bus driver went into labor, the bus driver quit and walked off and left you all sitting on the bus in the middle of the road... someone stopped the bus to ask the driver to marry him/her... or the bus driver had to get out to chase some deer, bear, geese, hedgies, cats, horse or cow(s) out of the way. I'd say this was being creative, but all these things have actually happened somewhere. LOL As to the wildlife, other than the aforementioned beasties, I'm not familiar enough with Suffolk County wildlife to know what else might have wandered into your roadway, but most of these have wandered into ours around here. Makes for interesting driving some foggy nights. =)

  19. Oh how sweet!! I love how kitty has coordinated her bow to match the flower.

hmmm more guesses at the bus story: flooding (hope not)? bus driver started following another bus route? (this happened to me once!) cat having kittens? dog having puppies? sheep crossing the road? duck and ducklings crossing the road? tractor pulling contest?

I'm all out of ideas now!
