So, what do we have? As you can see, my workspace is in the conservatory, just under the kitchen window (very handy for being passed cups of tea). This is my painting, gluing and assembling space - the guillotine and embossing bench is behind me but that is piled high with stuff because of having to make room for the Christmas tree. This is spookily tidy for me, normally you can't even see the cutting mat for mess.
Bottom left you can just see a little thank you card I made with a Hero Arts Stencil Flower stamp and on the cutting mat is a part coloured Mo Manning image which I shall finish off later. The white oblong next to the mat is my paint box full of Distress Inks - I took the water colour paints out of their pans and plipped in a drop of ReInkers so I have the full colour range all in one palette. And you can tell by my water jar that I really need some clean water!!
So that's it - my space, my mess. Off to have a peek at yours now.

Welcome to WOYWW. I'm pretty new here myslef as I only started blogging earlier this year and took a few months to pluck up courage to join in. Mr B now can't believe that the first thing I do on Weds mornings is turn on the computer.
ReplyDeleteNive idea to craft in the conservatory but I think ours would be too cold - only a small De Longhi heater in there - so I'm sticking to my dining room.

ReplyDeleteNice to see you here Squirrel, Wednesdays won't be the same any more you know! Love that you can reach in and get cups of tea, you'll have to clear off the window sill first though looks like you use every available inch of space! Off to look at you DI tutorials, I love water colouring with them but could always do with more tips!

That's interesting. I'm jealous of your beautiful soft English light. And the spatula drying next to the paint palette is SO like my kitchen. Right now I have an egg whisk and a paint brush in my draining basket LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy Furry Scrappy New Year to you and yours!

Welcome to the joyous madness that is WOYWW. By the look of your desk, you are going to feel right at home here. So much creativity going on there, and I really like your thinking to be in the right place to get fed and watered through the kitchen window. Have a great 2012. Maggie #49
